The Miami Children's Museum is a total 'must see' destination. The museums motto is 'Play, Learn, Imagine, Create', which implements in a wide variety of interactive exhibits that allow children to explore everything from permanent exhibits like a television studio, a supermarket, World Music Studio, a Bank, All About Art, Pet Central and much, much more; it's a learning adventure for the whole family. The Museum is located on 980 Macarthur Causeway between Miami and Miami Beach. Parking is operated by the Miami Parking Authority and cost $1 per hour; it's open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas; hours are 10am to 6pm; admission is $12 for Florida residents and all children over 12 months of age. Non-resident adults pay $15. If you are a member of the 'Go Miami Card', your admission is free.

Next, your entire family will enjoy the 'Miami Science Museum', with its kid-friendly exhibits and the home to the 'Bird of Prey' Research center and the Weintraub Observatory. The current exhibitions include Immersion Theatre, Music Musica, Newton's Notions, The Reclamation Project and 40 Tons of Coral in New York City. The famous Miami Planetarium, which is home of Jack Horkheimer's Star Gazer television show, features daily shows on a 4-story tall screen, with lasers and surround sound. The Weintraub Observatory houses two powerful telescopes and operates from 8pm to 10pm nightly. The Museum Wildlife Center hosts 'The Falcon Batchelor Bird of Prey Center', where they take care of injured birds in the center's rehabilitation program. It's located at 3280 S. Miami Avenue,

north of Coconut Grove; hours are 10am until 6pm everyday except Thanksgiving and Christmas; admission is $14.95 for adults, $10.95 for seniors, students and children ages 3-12. Free admission for children under 3 and residents of Miami Dade County receive a 15% discount.

Money Jungle, their motto is 'Where humans are caged and monkeys run wild!' One of the more fun activities at Monkey Jungle is feeding the monkeys. You can purchase peanuts and dried fruit at the entrance and leave treats for the monkeys in hanging baskets. They're never far away, and they keep an eagle eye on those baskets - as soon as food is deposited, they run over, pull the basket up to the cage roof and dig out the treats. You'll walk through carefully constructed wire pathways, many species of primates scamper above your head, swing through trees and interact with each other in ways difficult to observe in captivity, but keep your eyes open; you'll never know just who's hanging around! Located at 14805 Southwest 216th Street in Miami and is open daily from 9:30am - 5:00pm; admission rates are $29.95 for adults, children from 3 - 9 are $23.95 and seniors are $27.95.
